Pick Dr. Ashley’s Brain

  • Pick Dr. Ashley’s brain. Take all the time you need to talk through any questions or concerns you have regarding your little one or even parenting in general.

  • I am happy to talk through concerns you have regarding your child’s health, then offer a concise assessment with straight-forward questions to bring back to your PCP, counselor, teacher, etc. As a physician working in a fast-paced setting, I understand needing to get the most information as efficiently as possible. I am happy to help focusing your concerns in a clear way to present.

With almost 20 years of pediatric medical experience, including 15 years in the emergency department, I have a unique, evidence-based, and easy-to-understand approach to parental conversations.

I’m happy to explain any results or diagnoses in terms both you and your child can understand.

  • Having a new baby can be daunting and intimidating. Dr. Ashley will take the time to answer all of your questions and concerns.

  • As every child has their own unique personality, parenting techniques must adapt accordingly. Given my strong background in pediatric mental health, I can assess the bigger picture and then collaborate with families to find a solution that benefits all in a healthy manner.

I am also available to simply talk through your struggles and victories as a parent. It takes a village to raise kids. We need to support one another!

  • I am happy to create customized videos on pediatric medical topics by request.

  • Many parents may be hesitant to have difficult talks with their kids. I am happy to step in to facilitate these conversations or coach families into developing their own talks. Topics could include sex, drugs, school shootings, bullying, and internet/ social media safety.

  • Often times neurodiverse children (ADHD, autism spectrum, executive functioning limitations) struggle with traditional school. Speaking from experience as a physician who has treated many neurodiverse patients and a mom of a son with ADHD, this can be extremely frustrating for both parents and children.

My approach to these children and their specific needs is individualized and evolves with them.

  • I have always loved science! My 2 boys and I love to get messy and have completed many science experiments. We are always getting creative around the house with new and fun things to try.

We would be happy to plan out a fun day for you and your kids with will be low-cost, easy, and maybe just a little messy! Each lesson would come with an experiment and an explanation of the science behind it.
